{"id":436,"date":"2017-10-04T13:45:24","date_gmt":"2017-10-04T11:45:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sostienici.arcigay.it\/?p=436"},"modified":"2017-10-28T17:00:43","modified_gmt":"2017-10-28T15:00:43","slug":"hoqualcosadadirvifundraising-identita-orgoglio","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sostienici.arcigay.it\/en\/hoqualcosadadirvifundraising-identita-orgoglio\/","title":{"rendered":"#HoSomethingToDirvi, our fundraising project on the themes of Identity and Pride"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>#HoSomethingToDirvi is Arcigay&#039;s permanent campaign aimed at everyone*, young and old, to encourage coming out.<\/h2>\n<h3>The problem<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Fearlessly declare your sexual orientation<\/strong> to one&#039;s parents, friends, colleagues, children, it is a gesture which, if on the one hand, unfortunately, still today requires courage and pride, on the other it produces personal and social change.<strong> The &quot;Coming Out&quot; (&quot;coming out&quot;, &quot;declaring oneself&quot;) is a fundamental and essential process in the life of an LGBTI person<\/strong>, a gesture that helps to shake off the incrustations of shame and fear to which the homo-transphobic environment has become accustomed: a gesture that does not end in a single phase of life, perhaps the most difficult and critical, but continues in different shapes and sizes throughout life. In 2012,<strong> the survey by the European Agency for Fundamental Rights showed that in Italy only the 8% of LGBTI people was fully &quot;declared&quot;<\/strong>: 69% of LGBTI people completely hide their identity at school, 31% in the family, 39% at work. <strong>Serenely telling everyone about oneself, without having to select out of fear is still, unfortunately, a luxury<\/strong> which only allows the 4% of LGBTI young men and women at school, the 16% in the family and the 15% at work.<\/p>\n<h3>The target<\/h3>\n<p>Arcigay has always been committed to <strong>encourage the &quot;coming out&quot;<\/strong> not only as a personal gesture of self-love and authenticity, but also to generate a <strong>change of perspective<\/strong>, personal and collective, in whoever receives the &quot;declaration&quot;. #HoQualcosaDaDirvi is an initiative born and developed with this idea in mind.<\/p>\n<h3>The planned actions<\/h3>\n<p>#HoSomethingToDirvi is a permanent initiative to promote visibility which is structured as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>A permanent communication campaign on\u00a0<i>coming out<\/i><\/strong><b>,<\/b>\u00a0thanks to a website which collects positive experiences in various life contexts, and resources and materials on\u00a0<i>coming out;<\/i><\/li>\n<li><strong>A\u00a0<\/strong><b>permanent collective mobilization via social media made up of circulation and collection of coming out statements,<\/b>\u00a0in photographic or video format, accompanied by the hashtag #hoqualosadadirvi;<\/li>\n<li><b>Celebratory initiatives also offline (billboards, flashmobs, etc.) during Coming Out Day<\/b>, on October 11 of each year, whose calendar will be hosted on the site\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.comingoutday.it\/\">www.comingoutday.it<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Intermediate steps<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Make 3 videos<\/strong> of experiences of people who have done and received the coming out at school, in the family and at work. Budget 12,000 euros;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Design and distribute a material kit<\/strong> for street flash mobs at thematic events and mobilizations, including Coming Out Day on 11 October. Budget 12,000 euros;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Create and distribute a vademecum on the Coming Out<\/strong>\u00a0in the family, at school and in the workplace, for LGBTI people, but also for those who receive the &quot;unveiling&quot;.
